Good Samaritan rescues 4 kittens from insane woman who was putting them in a sleeping bag and planning to throw them in the water, reminding us that amongst the bad, there are still kind people in the world

In places where there are a lot of street cats, it is important for the residents to be informed of what to do when you encounter a kitten that is alone. There are many options, many things that you, an individual, can do. You start by looking for the mother. Oftentimes, when a kitten is "alone", it's not actually alone, and the mother is somewhere nearby, possibly hunting for food. If you can't find the mother for long enough, you can rescue the cat on your own - adopt the cat if you can and want to, and if not, then you look for a family for the cat or you bring it to a shelter. 

There is an endless number of options for what to do before you decide to stick a bunch of kittens in a sleeping bag and drown them. Endless. Impossible to list them all. And still, some people choose that option. We don't know how many of these people there are, how many of these stories we don't hear about, but those that we do, and specifically those that have a happy ending, with kind people intervening and stopping the worst from happening, those stories are ones that we think it is so important to write about.

    I wish I was kidding. People in my state (in the U.S.) do not give a f about animals. According to the perpetrator, the cat mother abandoned these kittens in the wild so it's fine to kill them for fun, but how does she even know that the mother abandoned the kittens? I don't think she does know that.

    Aren't they so cute, though? This is far from my first time taking care of kittens, but admittedly I haven't had any this young before. My gf estimates that they're about three weeks old... idk any of the science behind that, but they are very small.

    They're doing great! They love to purr when you pet them. I'd love to keep them, but I already have 4 cats... We'll have to see what happens! It was kind of a spur-of- the-moment decision so we currently don't have any long term plans with them. It's only day 3 with these little guys!

  • Every time we hear about things like this happening, we are shocked. It doesn't matter how many times we read about it, it never stops being shocking. Truly. And every time that we read about it, we are somehow more thankful than the last time that there was someone good there to stop this from happening.

  • We don't know who these kittens will end up with, but we can say with a calm heart that we trust you to find them a good home. Someone who was willing to step out of their way to save them like this would not let them end up in a bad home ever again.

    Toe_Jam_is_my_Jam • 21h ago The lady lied. She didn't spay her cat and now there are kittens. Surprised that she let them grow to 4 weeks. But probably found out soon enough that it is hard to find homes for kittens that haven't been dewormed, vaccinated or fixed.
